How to change nameservers using the Backroom

The following steps will assist you with changing your nameservers through your backroom.  If you have a control panel instead of a backroom, please refer to this article.

  1. Under Administrative Interfaces, click Domain Registration Manager.
  2. Make sure that the domain(s) being updated are unlocked.  The lock state can be toggled by clicking the lock icon to the right of the domain.
  3. Check the box next to the domain you wish to edit the nameservers of and click Edit Selected Registrations.
  4. Scroll down to the Update Delegation Information section and enter the desired nameservers into the boxes listed under Nameserver.
  5. Click Update Delegation.

Propagation is the time required for all Internet Service Providers to update their internal systems with newly edited information. Propagation is not controlled by Verio.

These instructions are only for customers whose domain name was purchased through Verio.  If your domain name was not purchased through Verio, please contact your domain name registrar.  If you do not know your domain name registrar, you can look it up at
